U.S. furniture retail sales hit $12.1 billion in October
Jan 09, 2023Recently, according to the data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the country’s furniture retail sales in October remained almost unchanged year-on-year, reflecting that consumers have shifted their consumption to other areas, and home furnishing sales have lost growth momentum. Retail sales of furniture and home furnishing rose 0.4 percent to $12.1 billion in October, according to the Commerce Department. In the retail sector, furniture posted the worst sales growth of all categories, behind department stores, which fell 1.6 percent, and electronics and appliance stores, which fell 12.1 percent.
