U.S. civil furniture orders plummeted 39% in June, backlog down 17%
Nov 22, 2022Recently, American consulting firm Smith Leonard released the latest "Furniture Insights" report. In the report, new orders for civil furniture in the United States in June fell sharply by 39% year-on-year. Compared with the same month in 2019 before the new crown epidemic, new order data also fell by 13.3%. New orders fell 27% in the first half of 2022. On the other hand, civil furniture shipments in June increased by 10%; as orders decreased and shipments increased, order backlog decreased by 17% year-on-year and 10% month-on-month.
