On June 27, the National Bureau of Statistics released an announcement on the profit data of industrial enterprises above designated size in the country from January to May 2022. The announcement shows that in the first five months of this year, the operating income of the national furniture manufacturing industry was 294.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.5%; the total profit was 13.26 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.1%. The operating income of the textile industry was 1,021.13 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6%; the total profit was 35.12 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.5%. The operating income of wood processing and wood, bamboo, rattan, palm and grass products was 389.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%; the total profit was 12.83 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 5.9%.
