China's furniture exports up 2.9% in July
The latest data released by the General Administration of Customs on August 7 shows that from January to July, the export value of Chinese furniture and its parts was 265.97 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%. From January to June, the export value of Chinese furniture and its parts was 226.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.2%. Furniture exports achieved positive growth for two consecutive months. In a single month in July, the export value of Chinese furniture and its parts was 39.90 billion yuan, an increase of 2.9% year-on-year. In terms of other home building materials, from January to July, the export value of ceramic products was 113.62 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%; the export value of lamps, lighting devices and their parts was 168.51 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%. The total trade value between China and ASEAN was 3.53 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.2%, accounting for 15% of China's total foreign trade value. The EU is the second largest trading partner. The total trade value between China and the EU is 3.23 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.9%, accounting for 13.7%. The United States is the third largest trading partner, and the total trade value between China and the United States is 2.93 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.8%, accounting for 12.4%. South Korea is the fourth largest trading partner, and the total trade value between China and South Korea is 1.39 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.9%, accounting for 5.9%. During the same period, China's imports and exports to countries along the "Belt and Road" totaled 7.55 trillion yuan, an increase of 19.8%.
